I was planning to wake up late like I usually do, but I was forced to open my eyes much earlier than planned since the baby cried so loudly and I had to soothe him. Then, my feet led me to take an early morning walk to meditate on God’s Word.
While walking under the swaying trees and listening to a worship song, I felt the wind touch my skin as if I were being embraced by God’s love — a love so strong yet so gentle.
Then a leaf fell to the ground, and guess what? A heart-shaped leaf. Woaah! Even nature confirms that He loves me.
To my amazement, I stopped and stared at the leaf, then looked around. I saw kids walking on their way to school, adults heading to work, and some people on their way home bringing their groceries. Then I realized that the heart-shaped leaf wasn’t just for me — it was for everyone, for every single human being existing on this planet.
He loves us so much that He lets the sun shine for us every day. He gives us free air so we can breathe. Then I realized that God loudly speaks His love to each one of us in every way and at all times, but sometimes we are just too busy to recognize it. We are busy with work, school, chores, and many other things in this physical world.
I didn’t take a picture of the fallen leaf and went home to prepare for work. Later, I realized that I had to take a picture and tell everyone about all of this — that’s why I’m posting it here. Everyone should know that God loves each one of us. No one is an accident. You are special and loved by the Creator of the universe.
So I went back outside and saw more heart-shaped leaves. Awesome! He is showering His love on us more than we ever realize.
Now that we know He loves us, we ought to love one another. This is easier said than done, but just imagine if everyone walked in love and reflected the heart of the Heavenly Father.
Yes, this is still a work in progress.
Now I understand what 1 John 4:19 means: “We love because He first loved us.”
So my friend, think about it… and I’m sure His love will sweep you off your feet more than any romantic movie we have seen on TV.
